Discover the Robertson Wine Valley

The Robertson Wine Valley is often called the valley of wine and roses. Along the Breede River, between Ashton, Robertson, Bonnievale and McGregor, vineyards share the landscape with rose gardens and fruit orchards.

Limestone-rich soils are rare in the Cape, yet they are common here. Consequently, Robertson is known for elegant Chardonnay and fine Cap Classique. It also offers excellent Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, often at very friendly prices.

Why visit

  • Chardonnay and Cap Classique from limestone-rich soils
  • River cruises, canoeing and picnics on the Breede River
