Discover the Bot River Wine Route

The Bot River Wine Route offers country charm in its purest form. Just off the N2, between the cool hills of Elgin and the coast at Hermanus, a handful of family-run farms welcome visitors with an easy, unhurried spirit.

Thanks to its mix of sea breezes and mountain soils, Bot River produces a wide range of styles. In particular, look out for expressive Chenin Blanc, Shiraz and Rhône-style blends, as well as Cap Classique sparkling wines.

Why visit

  • Boutique, family-run cellars with a relaxed farm feel
  • Characterful Chenin Blanc, Shiraz and red blends
