Calitzdorp is a peaceful Karoo village with a big reputation. Often called the port capital of South Africa, it is home to cellars that craft some of the country’s finest port-style wines.

Hot days, cool nights and the Gamka River create ideal conditions for Portuguese grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional and Tinta Barocca. In addition, you will find Muscadel, dry red blends and a warm, personal welcome at every stop.
