The Green Mountain Eco Route is widely known as the world’s first biodiversity wine route. It runs through Elgin, Bot River and Villiersdorp, in the heart of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve.
Participating farms are committed to protecting the rich fynbos that surrounds their vineyards. Therefore, a visit here is about more than wine. You can hike, cycle and explore beautiful natural areas, then relax with a glass of cool-climate wine.
