Discover the Hemel-en-Aarde Wine Valley

Its name means heaven and earth, and the Hemel-en-Aarde Wine Valley lives up to it. The valley climbs inland from Hermanus, with vineyards stretching from the coast up into the hills.

Cool ocean air and clay-rich soils create ideal conditions for Burgundian grapes. Consequently, Hemel-en-Aarde wine is internationally respected, especially its silky Pinot Noir and refined Chardonnay. The valley is divided into three wards, each with its own subtle character.

Why visit
