Golden wheatlands, rolling hills and gnarled bush vines define the Swartland. Around Malmesbury, Riebeek Kasteel and Riebeek West, wine and olives grow side by side under wide blue skies.

In recent decades, the Swartland has become one of South Africa’s most exciting wine regions. Its innovative winemakers are known for old-vine Chenin Blanc and Rhône-style reds and blends. In addition, the olive groves produce excellent table olives and olive oil.
